born 1971

Engdaget Legesse lives and works in Berlin and Addis Ababa. He entered the School of Fine Arts and Design in Addis Ababa in 1988 and concluded his studies 1993 “with distinction”. In 2003 he continued his studies at the University of Fine Arts in Berlin with a one-year grant from the German Academic Exchange service (DAAD). He remained there and works as a studio artist at a charming, off-the-beaten-track artists quarter in Berlin-Wedding. Meanwhile the artist has shown his work at several group exhibitions around the world.
